BOOSTER VOLUNTEERS
The Hays Cheer Program is fortunate to have so many hard-working parents, guardians, and volunteers. The booster club provides the additional help to make each cheerleader's experience fulfilling and worthwhile. Wherever your skills or talents are, the booster club is always looking for those who want to help provide every cheerleader with a quality high school cheerleading experience. If you are interested in helping, please fill out our Cheer Booster Volunteer Form to let us know what area(s) you may be interested in. Before signing up and volunteering, you must register with Hays VIPs (Volunteers in Public Schools): Register with VIPs - Volunteers In Public Schools Info
COMMITTEES We have several different committees set up within the Booster Club. Each committee is designed to help support the team in a variety of ways: *Spirit/Hospitality Committee This committee is responsible for boosting spirit and moral related to the cheer program as a whole. This committee does activities such as decorating the locker room, providing small gifts/snacks on game days, and helping decorate the bus for the team. If you'd like more info or to be a part of the Spirit Committee, please contact Valerie Garrett.
*Banquet Committee This committee is responsible for the End of Year Banquet. This committee will secure a venue, determine the banquet theme and needed decorations, decide on gifts to provide for each cheer program participant (including roustabouts, managers, etc), decide what food to be served, and any other related details in planning and hosting the banquet (within the budgeted amount), including set up/clean up.
*Merchandise Committee This committee is responsible for deciding what merchandise to sell for the year at all the sporting events at Hays High School. All merchandise will be pre-approved by the Board and sold at football games, volleyball games, basketball games, and track meets.
*Team Bonding/Team Building Committee This committee is in charge of finding bonding events for the cheer team throughout the year. These events bring the team together in a fun way to help them bond outside of cheer practice and games. *Volunteer Coordinator This committee is designed to help our cheer team find opportunities within the community to achieve their goal of 10 service hours per semester.
